The Nike Dunk High 1985 SP “Acid Wash – Red” is a modern remake of the vintage basketball shoe that maintains the model’s original 1985 shape and look. Succeeding Undercover’s incarnation of the Dunk High 1985 model in Summer 2021, the “Acid Wash – Red” mimics the Dunk High’s style cadence on the modified ankle collar and other vintage arrangements. The base, which includes the perforated toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel, is composed of dark grey leather. From there, the panels are displayed in a red acid wash. A red leather Swoosh graces both sides. The Dunk High 1985’s tongue is noticeably taller than the tongue found on more recent editions of the shoe. An old school “Nike” logo with a red Swoosh appears on the tongue tag. The rubber midsole is painted yellow to replicate the look of oxidation.
